PureTeach was asked to present a paper to a consortium of schools and venture capitalists on the growth of schools and hence the demand for strong teachers and leaders.

The message was clear:

SUCH IS THE PACE OF CHANGE, THE SUPPLY OF TEACHERS WILL STRUGGLE TO KEEP UP WITH THE DEMAND FROM INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS.

Research data has come from ISC (ISC Research is a provider of English-medium K-12 international school data) and they project continued strong growth for international schools over the next decade, with all top-level indicators – including number of schools, enrollment, revenue, and employment – all expected to exhibit significant further growth through to 2028.  

By that point, ISC forecasts the total number of schools worldwide will exceed 16,000, global enrollment will approach ten million students. 

The demand for strong teachers and leaders with an international background has been and will continue to be high.
